ABOUT HYPOPRESSIVES SOUTH WEST
Your Body, the Way You Want It
You will get personalised support, tailored to you, to enable you to feel strong and confident to do all the activities you want to without pelvic floor symptoms holding you back.
We work with you one-to-one at our studio in Cheltenham or online, which means we can work with you from anywhere! We will progressively teach you the Hypopressives poses, movements and breath work at your pace. We work together to create a bespoke flow, tailored to you, and have you seeing results in no time and on your journey to recovery from pelvic floor issues. In-between sessions you have training videos specific to you and anytime support from your coach.
You can join us for a 12 week programme, 6 week programme or a one-off session. We also run workshops in Gloucestershire if you want to have a taster. Most people have noticeable results within the first 6 weeks and, with consistent practice, can completely eliminate leaking, heal diastasis and even reverse prolapse!
Once you have worked with us to learn the poses, breathwork and movements, all you need is 10mins a day to maintain your practice. And, you can also join us for group classes to keep your momentum going.
Arrange a 15 minute free call with us to discuss how we can help you and how the sessions together can be tailored to your needs!
WHO ARE WE?
Hi, I'm Kiera. Founder of Hypopressives South West. A teacher, personal trainer and mum to a 5 year old boy and 18 month little girl.
Having experienced pelvic floor dysfunction after the birth of my first child, I struggled to find the right support and options to suit me. At the time, I felt like I would not be able to be the active person I had always been and like I had been given a miserable life sentence. I am happy to say, this is not the case!
Hypopressives changed my life, I want to share the benefits with you and support you to maintain good pelvic health or heal your core and pelvic floor without having to go through the challenges I faced.
I work with people at all stages of life including pregnancy, postnatally and menopause. I am passionate about making your healing journey positive and fun so you can feel strong and amazing to do all the things you love without pelvic floor symptoms dragging you down.
I am happy to share my own personal experiences and success stories from people I have worked with of how Hypopressives has worked for me and others. Feel free you ask any questions during a free call!
WHAT ARE HYPOPRESSIVES?
Hypopressives are an exercise technique to strengthen your whole body, retrain your core muscles and create optimal function of the pelvic floor. Also known as "Low Pressure Fitness," they are a specialised exercise technique that focuses on strengthening the core muscles and pelvic floor while simultaneously reducing intra-abdominal pressure. Unlike traditional abdominal exercises that can increase pressure within the abdomen, Hypopressives aim to decrease this pressure. They're widely used in other parts of Europe for birth recovery and to improve athlete performance but not so well known here in the UK. I am hoping to change that!
Through a series of specific postures, breathing techniques, and controlled movements, Hypopressives encourage the activation of deep core muscles, including the transverse abdominis and pelvic floor muscles. This approach can:
-
improve posture
-
reduce back pain
-
enhance pelvic floor function
-
create a slimmer more toned waist
-
eliminate any leaking or prolapse symptoms (such as heaviness)
-
actively LIFT your pelvic floor and any prolapse
-
improve your core strength
-
stop you going to the toilet so often
-
eliminate constipation
-
improve posture and alignment of the body
-
improve your sex life!
On top of all of that, Hypopressives breathwork calms the nervous system, relaxes your body to help you feel calm.
Hypopressives are suitable for various fitness levels and can be tailored to individual needs. They are often used as a part of rehabilitation and strengthening programs for postpartum women, athletes, and individuals seeking to address core and pelvic floor issues.
Pelvic floor symptoms are common at all stages and ages (you're not alone!), but not normal - we shouldn't have to put up with them. Hypopressives can help you improve your quality of life.
